Brief History of our Church

Caulfield Indonesian Uniting Church (CIUC) is an ethnic church of Indonesian background. CIUC held its first service in 1984 in Malvern, Victoria and relocated to its current location at 158 Balaclava Road in 2000. Since then, the church has continued to bring the Word of God to the community through ministry and praise and worship, while building a close-knit and welcoming congregation.

 

Vision

Make a difference in people's lives, their environment, and relationships in the community by accepting salvation in Jesus Christ.

Mission

CIUC is called to mission with diverse communities: overseas students in Australia, people with Indonesian ethnicity background, and cross cultural communities, to disciple future generations, and to give generous support to care for the disadvantaged community in Indonesia.

CIUC is called to mission with diverse aged group of people in Australia (Sunday School children, Youth, Young Adult, and Seniors) particularly with Indonesian ethnicity background, in raising and growing disciples in word and deed.

Mission Directions

Having a growing relationship with local churches in Indonesia, CIUC is supporting orphanage run by a local church in a disadvantaged community where Christian is a minority.

Supporting Mentally Disabled Children (Christian based organisation) in the region of Sumatra (Indonesia) through the local church that manages the organisation.

Creating a strong foundation rooted in biblical knowledge for Youth, Young Adult and Senior ministry in order for them serving as living testimonies to the communities they live in

Providing ministry for future generations to express their faith, to grow discipleship, to be actively involved in praise and worship, and to be nurtured and strengthened as followers of Jesus.
